A is for Ani

As the official start to Tossing It Out's Blogging from A to Z April Challenge, I was trying to come up with a good post for "A" and then it dawned on me. Uh hellooooo introduction! LOL

So today, you get to learn a little more about me. In exchange for the tidbits of info (and some childhood embarrassment), I'd like to know a little bit more about all of you. :D Okay, so ready...set...GO!

My Ten Things

1) I know all of the words to Disney's The Little Mermaid. And no, not just the songs. *shifty eyeballs*

2) My son is the best surprise I have ever gotten. :D

3) I have an obsession with collector's editions (movies, tv box sets, book series, etc.) I may be able to feed a small country if I ever decide to sell my entire collection. *more shifty eyeballs*

4) I can't sleep without a blanket, no matter how hot it is. I usually blast the AC just so I can have some kind of blanket over me.

5) For Halloween one year, I dressed up as Jason from Friday the 13th. I did it because, at 13, I thought I was too cool for Halloween costumes and wanted to hide my face from anyone that could possibly recognize me. I now miss being able to dress up for Halloween to go trick or treating without the leery "aren't you too old for this?" looks. *sad face*

6) I started writing because I got inspired by a fanfiction for Twilight that I read in 2009. It was about two minor characters, Claire and Quil, and gave me one of my very first writing Ah-Ha! moments. (Click here for the frawesomesauce story...bring tissues...)

7) Twilight the movie is still my favorite from the three that have been released.

8) I speak four different languages.

9) I play the state and mega lotto every week, secretly hoping I'd win so I could write for the rest of my life.

10) I play video games just as much as the next guy. Obsessions: anything Final Fantasy, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, and Counterstrike.

So...there's a few on me. Now on to you! Post a fun fact or a little story or even a blah! *laughs, points to the comments box, prays to chocolate that it doesn't stay empty*

GO GO GO!!! *does the hula dance*

  1. A IS FOR AWESOME.

Little Mermaid was my FAVORITE Disney film EVERRR. I know all the words too. In fact, I once put my Little Mermaid VHS on, recorded the audio with a cassette tape, and then played it every night when I went to bed. I know. I'm crazy.

    I totally trick-or-treated through high school >_> Free candy. I CAN'T RESIST.

FOUR languages? That's so awesome. Which ones?

And Final Fantasy? ♥♥♥♥♥ Which was your favorite? :D Have you ever played Kingdom Hearts? KH is my video game love!

  2. You're not crazy...my little sisters and I used to play different parts from The Little Mermaid and act out the entire movie. LOL!

And I used to try trick or treating in HS. I'd get weird "how old are you again?" looks. Ha!

And yes, four. :D English, Tagalog, Spanish, and some Thai.

My favorite FF was X, but VII is a close second. And I actually like XIII, despite people's mixed reviews. *kinda wants to smack Snow a little* LOL AND OMG OMG I fLOVE KH!!! I played both 1 and 2 while DH watched the cut scenes. Plus! I haz KH: Chain of memories on my Nintendo DS. LOL

  7. I'm the same way with blankets - I need something heavy pressing down on my upper body or else I'm unable to sleep. It's like I need to be tied to the bed or something. Hmn, that came out wrong...

  9. oh yeah! I LOVE the little mermaid! LOVE IT! Did I mention that I love it? I still listen to the soundtrack. #truestory.

I wanna live where the people are, I wanna see, wanna see 'em dancin' I will never forget when I saw the making of TLM and saw the woman who does the voice. O_O She was a lot older than I thought a person with that voice could be. But I still love it!

I don't need to be covered up to sleep, just need a case of the heavy eyes and *poof* -_-

    Loved your post!

  10. Thanks!! I have a slight *looks at the ceiling* obsession with The Little Mermaid.

And yeah, I saw the lady who does the speaking/singing voice for Ariel and my first impression was "dude, early 90's hair"...o.0 LOL But if you close your eyes and listen, it's the heartwrenching voice of Ariel. (I think I had the same reaction when I saw the speaking voice actor for Jasmine LOL)

  11. I've never seen the Little Mermaid. :::Richard slowly backs out of the room now:::

:::Leans in to say:::: I love many Disney/Pixar movies, especially Ratatouille, because it perfectly portrayed life in the restaurant industry.
